PRP (Patelet-Rich Plasma)
In recent years, doctors have learned that the body has the ability to heal itself.
Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a form of regenerative medicine that can harness those abilities and amplify the natural growth factors your body uses to heal tissue.
Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins, and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate through the body. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth healing functions.
Platelet activation plays a key role in the body's natural healing process.
PRP injections are prepared just like a standard blood test. The platelets are then activated and injected directly into the area of concern using numerous techniques depending on each individual.
This then releases more than 4X growth factors that stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells your body usually produces and results start to appear immediately.
For optimal results, 2-3 sessions, 4 weeks apart are suggested or until the desired result is obtained. Maintenance sessions are also encouraged 6-12 monthly for anti-aging prevention and rejuvenation.
Injections of platelet-rich-plasma can be used to treat the following:
- Vampire facial (targeting face rejuvenation)
- Areas of visible damage to the skin, such as age spots or sunspots.
- Mild lines and wrinkles (especially but not exclusively around the mouth).
- Dark circles under your eyes.
- Crows feet (wrinkles at the outer corners of around your eyes).
- Rosacea
- Acne scars
- Skin texture
- Skin Tightening
- Hair loss
- Cellulite
- Body skin tightening
- Mild Skin conditions
